About Dr Julie-Ann Rodgers

Meet Dr Julie Ann Rodgers; Your Experienced Medical Professional

Dr Julie Ann is a dedicated medical professional with a wealth of experience and a passion for excellence. She embarked on her journey at the University of Ulster, where she earned her first 

degree in Health Physiology. Specialising in anatomy, cardiac and respiratory physiology, she graduated with First Class Honours in 2014, alongside a Certificate of Outstanding Academic Achievement.

Building on her foundation, Julie Ann pursued further education at Queen's University Belfast, attaining a degree in Medicine, Surgery, and Obstetrics in May 2020. 

She was worked across various medical specialties, including General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Cardiology, Endocrinology, General Medicine, and Orthomedicine. Throughout her career, Dr Julie Ann has demonstrated a commitment to continuous learning and development.

In the realm of aesthetic medicine, she has honed her skills under the guidance of renowned professionals. She received comprehensive training in Botox and dermal fillers from Derma Medical, alongside advanced treatments of the lower face from Skin Viva. Committed to staying abreast of the latest advancements, she attends regular training sessions and actively participates in local and international conferences on anti-ageing.

Dr Julie Ann is not only dedicated to her craft but also values collaboration within the medical community. As a proud member of CMAC (Complications in Medical Aesthetics Collaborative), she remains at the forefront of addressing challenges in the field. Additionally, she has undergone specialised training in aesthetics complications through CPD accredited course by Gillian Murray of GM Education.

  • What brand of filler is used ?
    Teoxane

  • Do lip fillers hurt ?
    A numbing cream is applied before the procedure there is is also a local anaesthetic agent within the filler which helps with the pain. The procedure is not pain free but will be more comfortable with the use of a numbing agent. 


  • Who can have anti wrinkle injections? 

Both Men and women over the age of 18 can have anti wrinkle injections. However, you need to be over the age of 21 for any botulinum toxin treatments or dermal fillers at Stellar Aesthetics Ltd.

It should not be used in

  • People with infection at the proposed injection site.
  • People who have previously had an allergic reaction to Botulinum toxin type A injections.
  • People with muscle problems or chronic diseases affecting the muscles, such as Myasthenia Gravis, Eaton Lambert syndrome.
  • Children under the age of 18 years.
  • Women who are pregnant or breast feeding 




What is gummy smile/treatment ? 

  •  A gummy smile is when teeth and a significant amount of gums show when a person smiles 
  • There are different causes for a gummy smile one cause is; a hyperactive upper lip may be another cause of your gummy smile. The lip may be have a normal length when your face is relaxed but is elevated when you smile and  revealing a lot of gum tissue 
  • botulinum toxin type A can be used to relax this muscle and result in less of a gummy smile 
  • Even though there is nothing wrong with a gummy smile, some people feel it makes them feel self conscious or just don’t like it:in that case, this may be one of suitable options to change it
